The Chinese men’s table tennis team delivered a dominant performance in the quarterfinals of the 2026 London World Table Tennis Championships on May 8, defeating South Korea 3-0 to secure a spot in the semifinals.
Representing China in the match were Wang Chuqin, Lin Shidong, and Liang Jingkun.
In the first match, Wang Chuqin edged past Oh Junsung 3-2 in a hard-fought contest, with set scores of 11-9, 11-1, 8-11, 7-11, and 11-7, giving China a 1-0 lead.
Lin Shidong then cruised to a 3-0 victory over Jang Woojin, winning 11-3, 13-11, and 11-8.
Liang Jingkun sealed the win with a 3-0 sweep against An Jaehyun, prevailing 11-7, 11-5, and 15-13.
With this comprehensive victory, the Chinese men’s team advanced to the semifinals, where they will face France.
