Legendary Australian Tennis Star Malcolm Anderson Dies at Age 91

Australian tennis legend Malcolm Anderson, a four-time Grand Slam champion, has passed away at the age of 91. Tennis Australia confirmed the news.

During his career, Anderson won the 1957 US Open in singles, the 1957 French Open in men’s doubles, the 1973 Australian Open in men’s doubles, and the 1957 Australian Open in mixed doubles. He also was a two-time Davis Cup winner representing Australia. He was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire in 1972, inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2000, and into the Australian Tennis Hall of Fame in 2001.

After retiring from competition, he coached Patrick Rafter, Wally Masur, John Fitzgerald, and Scott Draper.
